This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use the LivingSquares platform ("Platform"), in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable Indian laws.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: Mobile number, name, email address
• KYC data (partners/builders): PAN, Aadhaar (last 4 digits only), RERA certificate, GST certificate, bank account details
• Listing data: Property details, photos, location, price, contact information
• Usage data: Search queries, property views, enquiries, device information, IP address
• Financial data: Loan application details, income information (for loan eligibility only)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the Platform
• To verify your identity and prevent fraud
• To connect you with property owners, builders, or partners
• To facilitate loan applications with our lending partners
• To send transactional messages (OTP, enquiry confirmations)
• To personalise your experience (recommendations, saved searches)
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

• Property owners/agents: Your name and phone number when you submit an enquiry
• Lending partners: Your loan application data, only with your explicit consent
• Service providers: SMS gateway, cloud hosting, analytics (under data processing agreements)
• Legal authorities: When required by law or court order

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. PII fields (PAN, Aadhaar, bank details) are encrypted using AES-256-GCM.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Inactive accounts are anonymised after 36 months. Audit logs are retained for 7 years as required by law. You may request deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Nominate a person to exercise rights on your behalf
